This program is one of the fundamental programs for the organization, and it targets the sector of non-governmental organizations and trade unions. The program aims to build capacities of civil society organizations, in order to enable them toimplement their roles more effectively, and participate in programs that lead to perceptible achievements. That is according to AlMahrousa’s belief that civil society is the core of development, in all developmental fields. The organization believes that, the more the community skills increase, the more it participates in serving development challenges, and fillthe development gaps with the state institutions, as these organizations are considered the third sidein the developmental triangle in Egypt.

We work through three main principles:

1. Advocating freedom and right to association.
2. Building up capacities of organizations and trade unions that are recently established, and the institutional development, in order to provide organizations with updates of different developmentalapproaches.
3. Project management throughadopting development projects.

The program of enhancing civil society organizations works through these interventions:

• Training on writing and designing development projects with high standards.
• Training on communication skills with donors.
• Training on projectsfollowing-up and evaluating skills.
• Alliance and networking among civil society organizations.
• Advocacy campaigns for the freedom of civil society.
